can’t stop making them, either. they are the crafty equivalent of snacking on potato chips!

    brilliant!!

your patches reminded me of when i was a girl scout camp counselor. we got patches for the classes that we taught and i always used to rename them after i’d sewn them on my bag. in the case of a equestrian themed one my “godfather” patch. i seem to recall one morphing into a “petty theft” badge as well. heh heh.

Hee hee! These are GREAT! I’d love to have a set of these with all the video games I’ve beaten… and I love the drink icons!

    Very nice!

Thanks for sharing! They are fantastic. I especially love the Space Invaders….I remember the hours and quarters I spent as a teen trying to beet the scores of by buddies. And Pong! What a hoot. These brought a smile to a very tired just-home-from-work face. Thanks.

Ha! My husband pointed out it is Asteroids, not Space Invaders….Oh this old brain.

These are amazing! They remind me of a brilliant evening of drunken conversation with a friend about the ‘Beer Scouts of America’ – we had ideas for badges, rules, uniform, everything. All of which we had forgotten by morning, except for the name.

I was actually just thinking how much I wanted merit badges for those invisible achievements of adult life — successfully navigating an unfamiliar city, getting along with in-laws, leading a raiding group in World of Warcraft, stuff like that. You may have given me the kick to actually DO them! Excellent!

I would love to know how you made these. Did you buy the badge blanks somewhere, or make them yourself? They are so awesome.

Please say you’ll be making a beer patch, and then selling said beer patch? I’d totally buy one.

I need a beer patch too! And could you make one for reading, and one for beading, and one for needle felting, and one for kitties who won’t leave you alone when you are trying to type, and one for…

These are so awesome that I have learn how to embroider to make some for myself. Where did you get the badge blanks?

I love the idea of you making lots and selling them…I’d buy a beer patch too!

I love them! I’ve had a couple of people ask me to make them some custom patches like these. I too was wondering how you made the patches…did you start from scratch or with some pre-made blank badges??

these are really cool! but I know what they are too!! we had them when I was in Junior Girl Scouts. they are blank patches to use for a troop logo. we got them and had an airplane put on them because we were #747….yeah super creative leaders. I know. but you can get them online i think, from the girl scouts website.
