I love everything about what Jamie Noel does. I am attracted to her themes and ascetic, but when you add in her execution, her work makes my heart pound.
She refers to her jewelry designs as “interactive” and indeed, that’s where she shines. Take this Circus Mix Up Necklace for instance:

From the Etsy listing:
It starts with a custom made frame divided into four shadow box compartments.
Next the characters are added: the tattoo lady, the strong man, the lion tamer, and a very dapper monkey. This circus troupe comes from vintage circus advertising posters.
The process is finished with tiny panes of hand cut glass and beautifully scalloped sterling silver solder.
Indeed!
In case that one is already sold to someone buying me a belated birthday present, I also really want this Punch and Judy Puppet Theater Brooch.

Get this:
This handmade brooch is actually a miniature puppet theater with moving parts!
Pull the sterling silver lever on either side of the brooch and Punch and Judy disappear behind the curtains.
Push the lever and they come back on stage. Gently jiggle the lever and watch them dance.
She has a lot more to see in her Etsy store. Go there now if only to gawk at the splendor. Clicky.

hi. my name is moxie and i am a supply hoarder. i’m not proud, but it’s something i tend to do. when it comes to art supplies, it’s easy to over-hoard because colors and shapes are so inspiring and you just never know what you might need when the creative urge strikes.
so, i used to be a bead person and these photos are the result of my 10 years of bead related hoarding. i haven’t used any of what’s here for over a year and thus i conclude: i’m done.
but i’m too lazy to use ebay and i really really want you to take it. please please somebody get these wonderful bead-stuffs out of my home. if you’re interested, email me at destash{.at.}weareallangry[..]com, make me an offer and we’ll work something out. for real. more photos and detail: clicky.

geek + whimsy + upcycle = obviousfront’s captivating sculptures and wearable art. he’s been at this since 1982 and we are all so lucky.
apologies: i bought a couple of pieces before i posted this, for fear that you’d steal my favorites out from under me. luckily, obviousfront is pretty prolific, so there’s so much more to be had…at amazingly affordable prices. clicky.

the brown leather belt cuff, top left above, LITERALLY made my heart beat faster. a little poking around in greenbelts’ etsy store proved no different. her work is highly covetable, way affordable, and she lives in my town…which has me wondering how we’ve not met yet!? clicky.

i just spent about an hour marveling at the work of arthur hash. (marveling sounds better than gawking and drooling, right?)
he plays with shapes & space, polyurethane & metal, and i want to touch all of it.
arthur’s website has a mesmerizing slideshow of goodness, including what i think are computer prototypes of some of his pieces. he’s also got a flickr pool. and, for those of you who have any kind of “job” or “money” go directly to etsy.
